Iwai 45 is the same blend as Iwai Blue Label, but at a higher proof, at 45% ABV making it perfect for cocktails!
Inspired by great American whiskies, this Japanese whisky is distilled with a majority of corn balanced with light malt, aged in ex-bourbon barrels. Get notes of pear and vanilla. The texture is heavy with a long, slightly smoky tail end. Ideal for a whisky highball or Old Fashioned cocktail.
Mars Shinshu Distillery has the highest altitude of all the distilleries in Japan. Situated in Nagano (the Japanese Alps, where the newest season of Terrace House is filmed) at an elevation of over 2600 feet, the temperature drops to 5°F. With fresh, ample snowfall, Mars Shinshu Distillery is situated in an ideal place for whisky production.
